Broadgreen Historic House values its team of volunteers

Nelson is home to a range of heritage houses and precincts that play an important role in our city’s rich history. Every day, people in our community help us to tell the story of Nelson through these locations, and you could be one of them.

There’s always something happening at Broadgreen - as a volunteer you can assist with a range of activities, from guiding tours of the house, to helping with special events and projects such as collection conservation and school visits.

Are you skilled in administration or IT, or perhaps you have years of experience or specialist knowledge in another area you would like to put to good use? Please get in touch and share your skills with us.

Become a part of our friendly and dedicated team of passionate volunteers, learn more about the history of this special place and connect with fellow history enthusiasts. Utilise your existing skills and learn new ones, engage in meaningful projects and help create unforgettable experiences that inspire and educate visitors.

If you’re passionate about history, culture and community, and would like to share your knowledge and skills - and learn a few more while you’re at it - please get in touch. We understand that everyone’s schedule is unique, so even if you can contribute a few hours a month, we welcome your involvement.
